This two part course combines two live Zoom lectures with hands-on skills sessions to ensure greater flexibility, protection, and safety measures in response to COVID-19. Upon registration you will receive confirmation to your Zoom lecture which will take place on Friday before your class. You will then attend your skills session the following day.

Note: This is a 32 hour course which includes 5 days of instruction. ALL participants will need 4 patients for the clinical examination.

The first day of the course (Fri) will consist of a didactic Zoom lecture and a radiography final exam. The second and third days (Sat & Sun) will consist of laboratory practices on radiology manikins (4 sets of x-rays, processing, mounting, and critiquing). On the fourth through seventh days (Mon-Thurs), you will be in the setting of your own dental office. You will need to take 3 full sets (18 x-rays) on 3 clinical patients. Three digital surveys and one traditional survey. If this is not possible, we can arrange for you to take traditional x-rays at our facility. The eighth day of the course (Fri) you will have your last Zoom session. The ninth day (Sat), you will perform your fourth and final clinical patient x-rays at our facility. You must also provide all 3 patients’ digital surveys and evaluations from your previous clinical assignments.
