This two part course combines a live Zoom lecture (4 hrs) , with a hands-on skills session (4 hrs) to ensure greater flexibility, protection, and safety measures in response to COVID-19.
Upon registration you will receive confirmation to your Zoom lecture which will take place on Friday before your class from (9:30am – 1:30pm). You will then attend your skills session the following day.
Students will learn that Standard Precautions are a group of infection prevention practices that apply to all patients, regardless of suspected or confirmed infection status, in any setting in which healthcare is delivered as mandated by California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA). Discussions including hands-on procedures, e.g., cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing and critical items will be covered.
The certificate received from this course must be submitted to the board prior to taking the RDA examination.
